Unity Srarion
Trafic Control Center
The Turbolift doors opened to what used to be Traffic Control for the traffic that occasionally came to Unity when it was either going to or coming from Deep Space Nine. He held the tricorder up and the amount of cobalt dylisentide in the air was astounding. He looked over some of the burned out consoles, there was a combadge frozen into wall, welded either by heat or by sheer physics of the blast. Liam then saw something that puzzled him, a single monitor that its display screen had not been obliterated. There was something faint burnt into the screen. He sighed a little, turning his head to one of the Damage Control Engineers, he spoke up. "Ensign lets try to restore power to this station, maybe use a tricorders power system to boot it up?"
The Ensign seemed genuinely upset, "Sir, we haven't cleared any of these other systems out and there is so much here to salvage..."
Liam then pointed over to where Samm was.He had a bright and charming smile on his face and motioned over to Samm. "You see her? She is the security chief around here. You see me.. I am a Science Officer. Now we are a hundred light years away from anything remotely civil, I am going to go over there and say how uncoperative you are being. I am sure she is going to be perfectly okay with coming over and giving you a free trip to sickbay or worse!"
At the end of his sentence he gave her a bright, friendly wave. He then looked over at the Ensign. "So Ensign? Could you do me a bloody solid and hook the damn power converter up to the console before I call her over to have words with you."
Bloody smegging hell, Do folks forget that us Science folks are real officers too?
The ensign then began to work on powering up the console. Liam motioned for Samm to come over, "Leftenant, I think there is something useful on this console. What do you think?"
((Dang Cut and paste.. Anyway Samm, tags!)
